Aims of the conference:
To discuss Peace Education in relation to some internationally recognized themes and decades:
Education for Sustainable Development, Water for Life, Culture for Peace,
and Peace Education in relation to the Life-Link Friendship-Schools Programme.
To strengthen the educational partnership bonds between Moscow Schools and Swedish Schools by use of the Life-Link Friendship-Schools Programme.

The conference was arranged in collaboration between

Representatives from Moscow Educational Department
Representatives from Life-Link Friendship-Schools board
Educators and students from Moscow schools:
390, 392, 423, 446, 789, 959, 1016, 1018, 1048, 1071,1224, 1411, 1414, 1446
Educators from Swedish schools:
Katedralskolan Uppsala, Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium Stockholm.

Results from the Mini conference:
The 50 participants were enriched by facts from the presentations and from distributed pedagogical material. Participants were also highly inspired by informal meetings and discussions during this Russia-Sweden cultural encounter. Some of the Moscow schools will perform the Green School Garden campaign and also apply for participation at the international Life-Link conference in Sweden 6-10 August 2007. The organisation of the conference and excursions was wonderfully arranged.
The conference will be considered as part of a Russia – Sweden Upgrade Cultural programme running 2006.

A follow up discussion took place 11 Oct at Moscow school 1414 ecological annex Cheveriyovo.
