Life-Link, after 21 years of voluntary work, now needs some more financial support in order to keep up to a High Quality and Best Practice within our Peace / Care education program today reaching all continents on Earth. I list some points that summarize the Life-Link program and Economy Ethics.

The Life-Link program

• is a Medical Doctor's and some Educators reaction to the Cold War during the 1980s, to a documented despair among teenagers, feeling marginalized and confronted with the risk for Nuclear Weapons annihilation and an Environmental degradation.
• The Life-Link program builds on the common sense that we must all, each one of us with urgency consider our/my responsibility for a constructive behaviour towards Myself, towards Others, towards Nature. Life-Link specifies a peace ethics into the three interdependent dimensions of Care for Myself - Care for Others - Care for Nature.
• Youth and teachers and parents in classes in more than 600 schools in 80 countries today use the Life-Link program. More than 3 000 performed small care actions ("lessons") have been reported to www.life-link.org Schools&Actions. UNESCO has recognized the Life-Link program, and a pioneering collaboration has started at several UNESCO schools (ASPnet).
• The Life-Link program is fully in harmony with United Nations decade Education for Sustainable Development, the Water for Life and Culture of Peace decades included.
• The benefits of the concrete Life-Link program can be discussed on six levels: Students - Teachers - Schools - Communities - Countries - Planet Earth.

Life-Link Economy ethics

• Life-Link Friendship-Schools Association is registered as an official NGO (Non Governmental Organisation) in Sweden.
• The Life-Link program builds on Social and Natural sciences and is politically as well as religiously totally independent.
• Life-Link board has regular almost Monthly meetings with Protocols and summarizing Appendixes.
• Students have a guaranteed place as members of the board, as regulated within Life-Link Statues.
• Life-Link actions/lessons at schools world-wide are performed on voluntary basis.
• An official Auditor keeps control of the Life-Link accountancies.
• Life-Link offers the program for free, asking for no money from any school.
• Life-Link coordinating office in Uppsala Sweden has some financial contribution from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, that covers our office (2 rooms) and one secretary.

Need for money

• In order to keep up to recent positive demands for high program quality, raised by schools and education Institutes, Life-Link needs more money, first of all for production and sending of pedagogic material to schools, but also for participation at international conferences and meetings. Certain administration work now also needs temporary financial compensation.
• No money will be sent to participating schools, except for some waiving of Life-Link conference fees during the annual Life-Link world-conferences.
• Be sure that your financial contribution will be used according to the Life-Link Statues and high ethical standards, and for the benefit of an unique peace promoting youth program at and around schools world-wide!
